YC Hertfordshire Youth Projects for Young People with Learning Disabilities at 96 Shenley Road, Borehamwood

There are two YC Hertfordshire youth projects at 96 Shenley Road for young people with learning disabilities. 13-17 year olds with mild to moderate learning disabilities can come along every Tuesday evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and there is a separate project for young adults aged 18-24 with mild learning disabilities on Mondays between 7 and 9pm. You'll get to spend time with other young people in a safe and relaxing environment. The projects are run by trained and supportive youth workers in YC Hertfordshire's Hertsmere Team and you can develop new interests, participate in fun activities and learn new life skills.

At the projects for young people with learning disabilities at 96 Shenley Road you can have a go at lots of activities including:

  • table tennis
  • arts & crafts
  • local trips out
  • cooking
  • beauty sessions
  • board games
  • badminton
    ... and much more.

Both projects have access to the reception area, the large hall and the state-of-the-art kitchen.

96 Shenley Road is fully wheelchair accessible.

Youth workers are trained in Epilepsy awareness and Epi Pen trained. There is a wheelchair accessible computer.
