YC Hertfordshire Happy As I Am LGBTQ Project, St Albans
- St Albans District
The YC Hertfordshire Happy As I Am project is a group for young people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or questioning their sexuality. Joining the group will allow you to meet other young LGBTQ people. Together you will plan and work towards positive choices. You'll get to take part in a wide range of activities and discussions about different subjects that you're interested in.
The YC Hertfordshire Happy As I Am LGBTQ Project is space for you to discuss and get support with LGBTQ issues.
It's a confidential project that is safe, secure and run by YC Hertfordshire youth workers who have specific training and experience with LGBTQ issues, know about your rights, positive sexual health choices, lifestyles and jargon used in the LGBTQ community.
There are two different groups for different age ranges, both meeting on Wednesdays:
- 13-17 year olds meet 5-7pm
- 18-24 year olds meet 7.30-9.30pm
You'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have in confidence - either one-to-one or as part of the group.
All YC Hertfordshire youth work projects and programmes enable young people to learn new skills, increase their knowledge and develop confidence, self-esteem and resilience.
