Creative Spark is a music and media project for young people with additional learning needs. Run by YC Hertfordshire, the project enables young people to get involved with creating and recording music and learning about photography, film-making and animation.

At the YC Hertfordshire Creative Spark Music and Media Project at the Hemel Hempstead Young People's Centre you will have the chance to take part in various music and media activities including:

  • Studio recording
  • Electronic music creation
  • Stop-motion animation
  • Photography
  • Film making/video editing

You will learn the skills required to create music or visual media as well as related skills such as team working and problem solving.

There are currently two projects running every Wednesday evening: 

  • 6.30-8.30pm for young people aged 13-17
  • 7.30-9.30pm for young people aged 18-24

The Hemel Hempstead Young People's Centre is fully wheelchair accessible.

Age Range: Two age groups: 13-17 and 18-24

Timing and Repeats:
Creative Spark runs every Wednesday
6.30-8.30pm for young people aged 13-17
7.30-9.30pm for young people aged 18-24
