YC Hertfordshire Prism - LGBTQ Support Group, Harpenden
Prism is a group for young people aged 13-19 (or up to 24 if you have additional needs) who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or questioning their sexuality. It was developed by members of Herts1125 Who not What, the strategic LGBT+ group in Herts and young people from the St Albans district. Joining the group will allow you to meet other young LGBTQ people. Together you will plan and work towards positive choices. You'll get to take part in a wide range of activities and discussions about different subjects that you're interested in.
The YC Hertfordshire Prism LGBTQ Support Group is space for you to discuss and get support with LGBTQ issues.
It's a confidential project that is safe, secure and run by YC Hertfordshire youth workers who have specific training and experience with LGBTQ issues, know about your rights, positive sexual health choices, lifestyles and jargon used in the LGBTQ community.
There are two different groups for different age ranges, both meeting on Wednesdays:
- 13-15 years old meet 4-6pm
- 16-19 year olds meet 7-9pm
You'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have in confidence - either one-to-one or as part of the group.
There will also be social events and activities!
